The
Drydakia Villas, two modern and well designed villas, are wonderfully
located amongst a peaceful ‘natural environment’, with the most
spectacular views, that take in the towering peaks of the White Mountains
as well as the beautiful sparkling blue of the Aegean sea. They are also
ideally situated for easy access, on foot, to the nearby traditional
village of Vamos that begins just 400 metres away, and by car (10 minutes)
to the shallow sandy bays and clear inviting water of the pretty seaside
resorts of Kalives and Almeritha. Standing side by side the villas are completely detached from each other, separated by natural stonewalls, the pools and patios of each villa cleverly located in order to enhance their individual privacy. |
Excellent quality, extremely spacious, tastefully furnished and well-equipped, these villas have all mod-cons including dishwashers, washing machines, air-conditioning, TV & DVD, BBQs, mosquito screens and spacious patios. Built on three levels each villa has three bedrooms, two of which are on the top level and one on the lower ground level, and three bathrooms. The open plan ground level has a comfortable living room and a fully fitted kitchen. Large glass doors on all levels lead to airy balconies offering wonderful views. Large terraces surround the attractive pools, ideal for lazy sun filled days and evening BBQ’s under a tranquil star-filled sky. The main ‘square’ of Vamos, the central point of the village, can be reached in less than 10 minutes on foot. |
Very
much a working village, Vamos offers local shops rather than large
supermarkets, but, with a little exploring, you will find all you need for
your stay including four excellent tavernas, a butcher, a bakery, bank and
mini- markets. Get to know the village and we have no doubt that, during
your stay, you will quickly find yourselves falling into the laid-back
Cretan village way of life. ‘Out and about’ there are many places to visit in this picturesque region. Soak up the history of Crete’s atmospheric Venetian harbour towns Chania and Rethymnon, swim in the beautiful ‘alpine’ freshwater lake of Kournas, enjoy the regions natural beauty amongst mountain trails and the high walls of the Samaria Gorge. But, whatever your preference, we are sure you will always be content to return to the comfort and tranquility of Drydakia. |
